  • Yes. The system is completely cloud based and can be configured in a matter of minutes. There are no cables, software or servers required.

How do I know which AiroSensor to select?

  • Your authorized partner can assist you in selecting the correct hardware to meet your specific requirements.

Is there a warranty?

  • Yes, the warranty is two years from date of purchase.

How many AiroSensors can I connect to an Access Point?

  • An unlimited number of AiroSensors can connect to an Access Point. The system is fully mesh and doesn’t require paring of AiroSensors to the Access Point.

Does SenseAnywhere have alarming capabilities?

  • Yes. There are three different types of alarms available: continuous, event and transport. Alarm notifications can be delivered to select users by email, SMS or voice alerts.

What is the transmission range of the AiroSensors to the Access Point?

  • With extended range AiroSensors the range is 600 meters or 2000 feet line of site.

Does the AiroSensor have a battery?

  • Yes. AiroSensors consume ultra-low power consumption with a 10-year battery life.

Can I replace the battery?

  • No. After 10 years the AiroSensor must be replaced.

How often does the AiroSensor log data?

  • AiroSensors log data every five minutes.

Can I change the logging increment?

  • Your authorized partner has the capability to change the logging increment. However, changing the logging increment will affect battery life. SenseAnywhere does not recommend changing the logging increment.

What happens if power is lost to the Access Point?

  • Each AiroSensor has 60 days of back-up memory, your data is never lost. Once power is re-established to the Access Point, your data is uploaded to the cloud.

What is an Asset Tag and why do I need it?

  • AssetTagging is a system that ensures uninterrupted temperature monitoring of sensitive products. It allows for easy equipment recalibration without losing data, simplifying compliance and reducing paperwork. This leads to enhanced product quality and streamlined regulatory processes. AssetTagging seamlessly links data loggers to AssetTags, allowing for the continuous surveillance of goods. This system is designed to work with any data logger, enabling them to be swapped without interrupting the monitoring setup, thus maintaining a complete record of temperature conditions. The need for AssetTagging comes from strict industry regulations requiring ongoing monitoring to ensure quality. Traditional methods often face downtime due to the need for equipment recalibration, risking gaps in crucial temperature data. AssetTagging overcomes these challenges by allowing data loggers to be easily replaced, minimizing administrative efforts and errors. By using AssetTags compatible with various data loggers, SenseAnywhere’s solution ensures reliable temperature monitoring, keeping compliance and quality assurance straightforward and efficient.

Are calibration certificates available for AiroSensors?

  • Yes, All AiroSensors come with a Certificate of Accuracy from the factory. Both NIST and Accredited calibration certificate are available as well.

What are Credits and why do I need them?

  • Credits are required to pay for usage of the SenseAnywhere portal, the storage of the data of your dataloggers and sending SMS alerts. Each logger requires credits. Depending upon which subscription level you elect determines the number of credits required by each AiroSensor. There are three subscription levels: Standard, Pro and Enterprise.

How many users can SenseAnywhere support?

  • Depending upon which subscription you elect, the system can provide access from 10 to an unlimited number of users.

Are there different access levels and credentials for users of the system?

  • Yes. Different user access levels and credentials can be configured by the super administrator of the system as follows: Super Admin Rights, Admin Rights, Alarm Admin Rights and Alarm User Rights.

Can I connect an AiroSensor to an external piece of equipment to monitor other data parameters other than temperature and RH?

  • Yes. Our AiroSensor model 20-20-43 along with our analogue input module enable limitless measurement possibilities by connecting to a third-party sensor that supports 4-20 mA or 0-10 V. SenseAnywhere will convert the analogue signal to digital and provide the custom parameters (e.g., CO2) and units of measurement (e.g., ppm).

Is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) available?

  • Yes, MFA can be configured in the software under Global Customer Settings.

Can I use SenseAnywhere in a cold chain logistics environment, such as in transport?

  • Yes. The SenseAnywhere Mobile Access Point is perfectly suited for transport or remote locations where an indoor Access Point is unavailable. Our mobile Access Point is an economic plug and play device that connects SenseAnywhere’s wireless sensors to the cloud through your cellular network. Our Mobile Access Point connects with the internet and has a GPS receiver module which enables you to locate your loggers in real-time.

Can I use SenseAnywhere to conduct a mapping study?

  • Yes. SenseAnywhere Temperature Mapping offers an efficient, cost-effective process that requires minimal time and resources, allowing users to identify potential problem areas quickly. Based on the Mapping Report generated in SAClient, users can make recommendations about the best storage locations for products with varying sensitivities to temperature and RH.

Data Storage

Where is my data stored?

  • In order to provide the best possible service to our clients with the highest possible reliability and uptime SenseAnywhere makes use of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. All SenseAnywhere data is stored in the Azure Cloud and all SenseAnywhere SAClient portal services run in Azure Cloud. Microsoft Azure is recognized as one of the best cloud infrastructure platforms, providing services to many customers worldwide. Azure leads the industry with the most comprehensive compliance coverage, enabling customers to meet a wide range of regulatory obligations.

Is my data safe in the cloud?

  • Your sensor data is stored in a very reliable infrastructure which is highly protected against hardware and power failures. We use Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) to prevent a malicious party from restoring or attaching the database and browsing through the data. TDE performs real-time I/O encryption and decryption of the data, log files as well as the back-ups. TDE provides the ability to comply with many laws, regulations, and guidelines established in various industries.

How long is my data stored and available to me?

  • That depends on which subscription you have chosen. The Standard subscription provides for 5 years of data retention, the Pro subscription provides for 10 years of data retention and the Enterprise subscription provides for 15 years of data retention.

What happens if I’m no longer a SenseAnywhere customer, is my data still available to me?

  • Yes. The availability of your data corresponds to the number of years in which subscription you had chosen.

Is there a risk my data may not be available to me?

  • The High Availability architecture in Azure guarantees that our database is up and running 99.99% of time, without worrying about the impact of maintenance operations and outages. The main database, primary copy and secondary copy are at different physical locations. This further enhances business continuity of our system and makes it resilient to a much larger set of unplanned events, including catastrophic datacenter outages.

Do I need to back-up my data?

  • No. Backups are made automatically every 5 minutes and stored for 35 days.
